Art Partners Studio has a wide assortment of classes available this summer.

There’s always art aplenty at Art Partners Studio, which wants to remind residents that it’s not too late to take advantage of summer classes.

And for those who prefer to admire the work of others, the studio is displaying students’ work every Friday through Aug. 16 from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Stop in to see the magic that can occur when students are paired with experienced art educators. Students’ creations will also be showcased in the storefront of the former Coatesville Record building, 204 E. Lincoln Highway.

The summer schedule includes classes in animé, ceramics, drawing, painting, landscape painting, street art, photography & digital imaging, printmaking with a press, and stop motion animation. Professional art materials are used in all classes. The media lab has iMac computers, cameras, printers, Adobe Photoshop and other graphics applications, and this summer they have a printing press for the printmaking class.

Age-appropriate camps and classes are organized for kindergarteners through second-graders, third- through fifth-graders, teens, and adults. Middle school students who are not yet teens are encouraged to register for teen classes.

Camps and classes are small to ensure individual attention. Enrollments for kindergarten through second grade art camps are limited to 10 students, and photography classes are limited to eight. All other art camps and art classes have a limit of 12 students.

All day art camps begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Lunch is around noon. There will also be scheduled mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks for fun and games in the new green space in the backyard of the studio, which has been restored by Girl Scout Troop 4732. Before Care (8 to 9:30 a.m.) and After Care (3:30 to 5 p.m.) is also available for working parents.

Art Partners Studio’s downtown art space occupies the ground floor of a Victorian across from the library at 524 E. Lincoln Highway. The building has a roofed front porch, shady fenced-in backyard, three air-conditioned studios that includes a media lab for photography, digital imaging, and animation.

Teen art assistants from the Studio and the Coatesville Youth Initiative’s ServiceCorps are always at hand to help in the classroom and encourage creative play during breaks.

If tuition fees are not within your financial reach, the studio has a generous scholarship fund and can also arrange a payment schedule to fit your needs. For more information visit the office for a brochure, call (610) 384-3030, visit the Art Partners Studio Facebook page, or the website at www.artpartnersstudio.org. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
