Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan said the search for 17-year-old Da’Quan Gray, who is accused of shooting a 21-year-old man a little after midnight on Tuesday in the 100 block of Strode Avenue, ended late Friday afternoon with his surrender.

Hogan said Gray, accompanied by his attorney, Sam Stretton, turned himself in to Chester County Detectives at 4:30 p.m. at the Chester County Justice Center.

Gray has been charged as an adult with criminal attempted homicide and related offenses, police said. The victim, who was not identified by police, was treated at Brandywine Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.

Police had been searching for Gray since Tuesday, and the State Police Crime Stoppers program added a reward for information leading to his apprehension on Friday.
