Coatesville man said to have 7 cell phones, cocaine, marijuana, scale, and cash
On Tuesday at 11:18 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop Kenneth Cole, 35, of Coatesville, on South Eighth Avenue and Olive Street for operating a motor vehicle while under suspension for driving under the influence and possessing an active warrant, Det. Brandon Harris reported. During the arrest, Cole was found to be in possession of 14.6 grams of cocaine, 17 grams of marijuana, a scale, seven cell phones and $1,079 in cash, police said. Cole was arraigned and taken to Chester County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $25,000 bail, police said.
On Wednesday at 2:45 a.m., Coatesville Officer Sylvester Earle conducted a traffic stop on a motorist for erratic driving on South Sixth Avenue, police said. Earle made contact with Manuel Hernandez-Gonzales, 61, of Coatesville, and a passenger, Adrian Hernandez-Santos of Coatesville, who had agreed to pay a 47-year-old female passenger $20 for sex, police said, adding that traffic citations and disorderly conduct citations were issued. Police did not identify the woman.
Officer David Marquette responded to the 1800 block of Saginaw Drive on Tuesday at 4:15 a.m. for a suspicious person banging on doors, police said. Upon arrival, he observed Theodore Garrow, 29, of Coatesville, exposing himself in an apartment stairwell, police said. Garrow was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication, police said.
On Tuesday at 5:58 p.m., Officer Stephen Galletta responded to a physical altercation between two people in the unit block of Strode Avenue. Upon investigation, Michael Pennington, 47, of Coatesville, was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment, police said.
After several individuals standing in the road on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Pennsylvania Avenue and Harmony Street complied with Lt. James Audette’s request that they move to the sidewalk, Sheron J. Purnell, 19, walked back into the intersection, police said. Purnell was taken into custody and citied for disorderly conduct and obstructing highways and other public passages, police said.
On Tuesday at 1:20 p.m., Officer Rob Kuech and Det. Ryan Wright responded to the 500 block of Walnut St at Division Alley, for a report that shots had been fired, police said. Six shell casings and two vehicles with bullet holes were discovered, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.
Police took Andre Stanley, 19, into custody at his residence on South Eighth Avenue at 11:46 a.m. on Tuesday, Cpl. Ken Michels reported. Stanley had a criminal warrant for his arrest and was transported to the station without incident, processed, video-arraigned, and released on $5,000 unsecured bail, police said.
