Police seek man in red Elantra for luring attempt

IMG_0314On Thursday at 6:25 p.m., police responded to the 400 block of West Lincoln Highway for an attempt to lure a 24-year-woman into a vehicle, Officer Jose Colon reported. Police said the victim was approached by a short, heavy-set Hispanic male with a mustache, wearing a yellow shirt and dark blue pants and who was driving a red Hyundai Elantra. The man fled before officers arrived, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call at 610-384-2300.

Cpl. Jonathan Shave responded to the 300 block of West Lincoln Highway on Friday at 12:33 a.m. for a report of an unconscious person, police said. Shave determined that Donia Bradiey, 41, of Coatesville, was intoxicated to a degree that made her a danger to herself, police said. She was transported to Brandywine Hospital for treatment, police said.

On Thursday at 9:11 p.m., Michelle Jarmon, 24, of Coatesville, turned herself in at the police station on a warrant for failure to appear, Cpl. Jonathan Shave reported. Jarmon was arraigned on the charges and released on her own recognizance, police said.

Officer Jose Colon was dispatched on Friday at 12:33 a.m. to the parking lot of 336 East Lincoln Highway for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle, police said. Investigation revealed that the victim’s 2004 Ford Expedition had been shot once with a .380 caliber firearm.

Coatesville units were dispatched on Thursday at 7:16 a.m.to a business in the 800 block of East Lincoln Highway for a criminal-mischief complaint, Officer Paul Antonucci reported. Two windows had been cracked, likely from a BB gun, police said.

Cpl. Larry Cooper took Jose Antonio Ortiz, 30, of Coatesville, into custody in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway on Thursday at 10:39 p.m., police said. Ortiz had a criminal warrant from Lancaster County and several traffic warrants from Coatesville, police said.

State troopers from the Embreeville barracks determined that David C. Urban of Coatesville was operating a vehicle while under the  influence of alcohol on the eastbound U.S. 30 Bypass at Rt. 113 in Downingtown on July 13 at 8:27 p.m., police said.

After observing multiple traffic violations, state troopers arrested Nicholas Paul Dudley, 19, of Downingtown, for driving under the influence of drugs on westbound U.S. 30, east of Reeceville Road in Caln Township, on Thursday at 12:24 a.m., state police said.
