Police: Leaving keys in truck leads to theft

ImageA dispatch regarding a stolen vehicle led Officer Carmen Mollichella to the unit block of Modena Alley, police said. The victim stated he was working on his truck in the alley with the keys inside  when he went into a residence for a minute, police said. When the man returned, his two-door, gray 1992 Ford F150 was gone, police said. Anyone with information about this stolen vehicle is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.

On Tuesday at 1:58 p.m., Cpl. Larry Cooper responded to the Kool Bar in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway for a reported assault, police said. Upon investigation, Neftali Tercero, 33, of Coatesville, was arrested for simple assault and related offenses, transported to the station, and held for arraignment, police said. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 7, court records said.

Officer Paul Antonucci observed two 13-year-old males in the unit block of West Sixth Avenue at 10:12 p.m. on Tuesday, a violation of the city’s curfew ordinance, police said. The teens were taken into custody and transported to the station, police said.

On Tuesday at 1 p.m., Coatesville police in the 600 block of East Lincoln Highway observed Marquel C. Jacobs, 20, of West Chester, who was known to have a bench warrant, Officer Jose Colon reported. Jacobs was taken into custody, police said.
