Police: Screaming woman cited for harassment

Victim tells police Downingtown resident struck her and her vehicle

IMG_0485A Downingtown woman was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct on Tuesday at 6:58 p.m., Coatesville Cpl. Larry Cooper reported. Police said officers were dispatched to the area of North Seventh Avenue and Merchant Street for a reported assault. When officers arrived, the victim said she had been in her vehicle when Tamika Reason, 27, began to scream, bang on the vehicle, and strike the victim, police said. Reason, who was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct, fled the scene upon officers’ arrival, police said.

Coatesville police are investigating a property-damage accident in the 600 block of Walnut Street, where a parked vehicle was struck by a passing vehicle, causing minor damage but no injuries, Cpl. Larry Cooper reported. The incident occurred on Tuesday at 9:29 p.m., police said.

Police responded to a criminal-mischief call in the 100 block of North Ninth Avenue on Tuesday at 10:06 p.m., Det. Shannon Miller reported. The victim stated that an unknown number of juveniles who were loitering in the area threw something at the living-room window, causing it to break, police said, adding that the juveniles were gone when police arrived.

On Tuesday at 6 p.m., police took a complaint from a juvenile who came to Coatesville to sell a 1999 Yamaha Blaster ATV, which was white with a green gas tank and purple front end, Officer Chris McCarthy reported. The ATV was stolen from the parking lot of the Little Chef after an unknown male asked to take it on a test drive, police said. The vehicle was entered into the system as stolen, police said.

Coatesville units were dispatched to a dumpster fire on July 29 at 8:48 p.m. in the 800 block of East Lincoln Highway, Officer Paul Antonucci reported. Upon arrival, officers found the container fully engulfed and firefighters on the scene who extinguished the blaze, police said, adding that no one was injured.

Police responded on July 29 at 9:46 p.m. to store in the 800 block of East Lincoln Highway for a theft complaint, Officer Paul Antonucci reported. Store employees said a group of about 11 young males came into the store, put school supplies into their backpacks and then ran off, police said.

Coatesville police are investigating an incident in which a woman came out of her residence on Tuesday at 9:54 a.m. and found that her house was shot with several paint balls, Officer Paul Antonucci reported. The victim did not see or hear anything, police said.

On Tuesday at 6 p.m., Coatesville Police and state constables took Aearon Davis, 46, of Coatesville, into custody on a bench warrant following a pedestrian stop at East Lincoln Highway and North Seventh Avenue, Officer Chris McCarthy reported. Davis was transported to Chester County Prison by constables, police said.
