Police: Driver of stolen car hits 3 vehicles, flees

IMG_0485Coatesville Police Officer Stephen Galletta was dispatched to the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue near Oak Street on Tuesday at 2:43 a.m. for the report of a hit-and-run accident, police said. Upon arrival, officers observed a silver sedan that lost control coming off the turn at Charlotte and Celina Lane and struck three parked vehicles, police said.

The striking vehicle and a parked vehicle needed to be towed from the scene, police said. The driver of the striking vehicle, which had been stolen, fled the scene, police said. An investigation is continuing; anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.

On Monday at 3:13 p.m., police made contact in the 600 block of Belmont Avenue with Brandi Green, 18, of Coatesville, who stated that she was involved in an altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Nyree Thompson, 19, of Downingtown, Officer Stephen Galletta reported.  Both Green and Thompson were cited for harassment and disorderly conduct, police said.

Officer Stephen Galletta observed David Homsher, 50, of Coatesville, on Monday at 5:53 p.m. on North Fifth Avenue at East Chestnut Street with an open container of an alcoholic beverage, Keystone Light, in his possession, police said. Homsher was cited for violating the open-container ordinance, police said.
