Police: Harassing caller fails to heed warning

51-year-old Coatesville resident ends up with two citations

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFifteen telephone calls between Saturday and Monday to someone who didn’t want them led to a harassment citation for a 51-year-old Coatesville resident, Coatesville Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie reported. But a warning from police not to contact the victim again did not stop Vincent Rudolph from doing so, police said. On Tuesday, Rudolph was cited again after he called and texted the woman, police said.

On Tuesday at 8:35 p.m., city police followed up on a harassment complaint in the 400 block of Maple Avenue, Officer Sylvester Earle reported. An investigation resulted in a summary harassment citation for Chastity Carter, 36, of Coatesville, who was accused of verbally harassing someone.

At 11:37 p.m. on Tuesday, Coatesville Officer Kirt Guyer came into contact with Valerie McKnight in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway, police said. McKnight, who was known to have a domestic-related bench warrant, was taken into custody to await transport by state constables.
