Neighbors, friends and families are invited to a free Art Night Out in the “heART” of Coatesville –  the Art Partners Studio and Coatesville Area Public Library – on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

At the studio, faculty artists will organize sidewalk-chalk art and face-painting. Their artwork, and the work of students, will be showcased throughout the building. Young musicians from the Coatesville Youth & Women’s Alliance Performing Arts Academy will drum with members of the Yes and Playback Theatre. Light refreshments will be served, a news release said.

Art Night Out, in addition to celebrating the start of a new school year, will also mark the start of free youth classes, said Lindsay Brinton, the Art Partners Studio director.  “We are very excited to announce that, for the first time, all youth art classes in our downtown art space will be free – so, if your young artists are interested in art, now is the time to register them for fall after-school classes.”

The Coatesville Area Public Library will also be open for tours and art activities organized by Arts Holding Hands and Hearts. It plans a “headline poetry” table plus a chance for seniors from the Coatesville Area Senior Center and residents of all ages to share their memories as part of the nationally recognized Spaces Between Your Fingers Project, the release said.

Both the studio and the library will have fall brochures available at Art Night Out. For more information about the studio, located at 524 E. Lincoln Highway, call 610-384-3030 or visit www.artpartnersstudio.org.  For more information about the library, at 501 E. Lincoln Highway, call 610-384-4115 or visit www.coatesvillelibrary.org.
