Police investigating stabbing on Saturday night

31-year-old male victim reportedly taken to hospital with wounds in back, side

ImageOn Saturday, Coatesville Police were dispatched at 11:16 p.m. to the Kool Bar in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway for a fight complaint, Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie reported. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 31-year-old Hispanic male had been stabbed multiple times in the back and side, police said. The victim was transported to Paoli Hospital’s trauma center; the extent of his injuries was not available, police said. The suspects were described as Hispanic males who fled before officers arrived, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.

On Sunday at 9:47 p.m., Officer David Marquette observed an unregistered motorcycle traveling in the unit block of North Church Street toward West Lincoln Highway, police said. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the operator rode onto a property, laid the bike down, and fled on foot, police said. The operator was located a short time later and identified as Zane Robinson, 18, of Coatesville, police said. The motorcycle was towed from the scene, and Robinson was charged with fleeing and eluding and a variety of motor-vehicle offenses; a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9, court records said.

On Aug 21 at 11:16 p.m., Officer Chris McCarthy observed Jennifer Jo Hoskins, 36, of Parkesburg, in the unit block of North Third Avenue, police said. Hoskins, wanted for a probation violation, was taken into custody on a bench warrant and found to be in possession of two crack pipes, police said. Hoskins was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

At 7:24 p.m. on Aug. 21, police came into contact with Madaline Sweed, 30, of Coatesville, at South Third Avenue and East Lincoln Highway, Officer Chris McCarthy reported. Sweed was taken into custody without incident on a retail-theft warrant, police said.

On Sunday at 12:09 a.m., police responded to the 700 block of Charles Street for fight involving multiple subjects, Officer Sylvester Earle reported. Upon arrival, officers saw subjects dispersing and observed Ramero Hernandez, 27, of Coatesville, visibly intoxicated to the degree that he was danger to himself and others, police said. Hernandez was taken into police custody without incident and charged with public drunkenness, police said.

On Thursday at 11:34 p.m., police responded to an intoxication complaint in the 500 block of Harmony Street, Officer Chris McCarthy reported. Upon arrival, police found Terrance J. Thompson, 42, leaning against a utility pole to keep himself upright, police said, adding that Thompson required assistance to get to the police car. He was cited for public drunkenness and held at the station until he was sober, police said.

Police were dispatched to the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway on Sunday at 6:45 a.m. for a domestic dispute, Officer Sylvester Earle reported. Officers were informed that the argument was verbal with no injuries observed and that Andre L. Jackson, 33, of Coatesville, had entered an apartment with authorization, police said. Jackson was cited for summary trespass, police said.

On Saturday at 9:56 p.m., Officer David Marquette responded to a fight in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway, police said. As a result, Juan Lopez, 27, of Coatesville, was arrested for disorderly conduct, police said.

Officer David Marquette observed Charles L. Boggs, 40, of Coatesville, operating a vehicle in the unit block of South Third Avenue on Saturday at 4:06 p.m., police said. Boggs was taken into custody on a bench warrant, police said.

On Friday at 11:17 p.m., police observed Tekeesha Lovelace, 31, of Coatesville, with an open alcohol container while walking down North Eighth Avenue, Officer David Marquette reported. Lovelace was cited for violating the city’s open-container ordinance, police said.
