Show will debut Friday in West Chester with fund-raising gala

The Chester County Art Association (CCAA) will open its most anticipated show of the year this weekend: the 2013 Invitational Art Exhibition.

The 2013 Invitational will debut with a Gala Cocktail Party fund-raiser on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. The show brings together roughly 70 of the area’s finest artists in all media: painting, watercolor, sculpture, ceramics, photography, mosaic, textile art, and mixed media.  All artwork is for purchase.

The exhibition, which opens to the public on Saturday, features emerging artists as well as well-established artists of national and international reputation.  The artwork runs the entire gamut from representational art to abstraction.

Tickets for the fund-raiser are $125 per person and will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres provided by Roots Café, and live music by Rob Dickenson. They can be purchased at the door or by calling 610-696-5600, ext. 13.

The exhibition and art sale will continue through Saturday, Oct. 11. The Chester County Art Association is located at 100 North Bradford Avenue in West Chester. Gallery hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The galleries are open to the public, and admission is free.
