City police: One attack is followed by another

Victim said one of his assailants came back for second round

ImageOn Monday at 6:55 p.m., Coatesville Police responded to a disturbance in progress in the 800 block of East Diamond Street, Officer Jose Colon reported. Upon arrival, officers learned that Arrister Taltoan, 57, and Marquis Taltoan, both of Coatesville, had punched and kicked a man, who sustained injuries his face and head, police said. Arrister Taltoan was arrested at the scene, police said, adding that officers responded to a second call at the same address at 8:36 p.m., after Marquis Taltoan returned to assault the victim a second time, police said. A preliminary hearing for both defendants, who face simple assault charges, is scheduled for Monday, court records said.

A two-vehicle accident led Coatesville police to West Lincoin Highway and Mount Pleasant Street on Tuesday at 11:25 a.m., Cpl. Brenden M. Boyle reported. An investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer hauling containers of flammable and non-flammable gas was turning from Lincoln Highway onto Mount Pleasant Street when a 2006 Kia Sportage, which was traveling behind the truck, struck the back of the trailer, police said. The Kia, which was operated by Marcilla Williams, 62, of Coatesville, sustained significant damage, including airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Both drivers, neither of whom was injured, were wearing seat belts, and no hazardous materials were released, police said. Williams was cited for careless driving, police said.

During a traffic stop in the 1300 block of East Lincoln Highway, Officers Carmen Mollichella and Art Brown saw that Timothy Jackson, 58, of Coatesville, who had a warrant, was a passenger in the vehicle, police said.  Jackson was taken into custody without incident and transported back to the station for processing, police said.

Cpl. Jeffrey lngemie conducted a traffic stop at North Fifth Avenue and Diamond Street on Tuesday at 8:01 p.m., police said. The driver, Nigel Styer, 41, of Coatesville, was taken into custody on two bench warrants and one traffic warrant, police said. Styer was transported to the station and then taken to Chester County Prison, police said.

Officer Joseph Norcini conducted a traffic stop at the intersections of North Sixth Avenue and East Chestnut Street at 2:33 p.m. on Tuesday, police said. Norcini came in contact with Sean McNeil, 22, who had a warrant and was taken into custody without incident, police said.

On Tuesday at 9:58 p.m., Coatesville Police took Daeron Anderson, 22, of Coatesville, into custody in the 800 block of Coates Street, Officer Jose Colon reported. Anderson had a criminal warrant, police said.

Officer Kirt Guyer had contact with David von Hacht, 31, of Coatesville, in the 300 block of East Harmony Street on Wednesday at 2:18 a.m., police said. Von Hacht, who had a bench warrant for a probation violation, was taken into custody without incident, transported back to the station, and released to constables, police said.

On Wednesday at 2:50 a.m., Det. Shannon Miller conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Walnut Street for an expired registration, police said. The driver, Andre McDaniels, 23, was found to have a criminal warrant and was taken into custody without incident, police said.

Det. Shannon Miller conducted a pedestrian stop on Daniel von Hacht, 26, of Coatesville, on Wednesday at 2:08 a.m. in the 300 block of East Diamond Street, police said. Von Hacht, who was found to have a bench warrant, and was taken into custody without incident, police said.
