Vehicle investigation leads to drug charges

Coatesville Police said two occupants possessed illegal narcotics

IMG_0866Coatesville officers on foot patrol in the 300 block of East Chestnut Street on Wednesday at 2:03 a.m. conducted an investigation of a vehicle occupied by Rasheed Jamal Baker-Morgan, 20, and Nasjah Jacks, 21, both of Coatesville, Det./Sgt. Brandon Harris reported. During the investigation, both subjects were found to be in possession of illegal narcotics, taken into custody and transported back to the police station, where they were later arraigned on drug possession charges, police said. Both were taken to Chester County Prison after failing to post bail: $4,500 cash for Baker-Morgan and $1,500 cash for Jacks, police said.

On Monday at 11:05 a.m., Sierra M. Colon, 22, of Coatesville, was cited for disorderly conduct after she was observed urinating in Dewey Alley, Lt. James Audette reported.

Halston A. Jennings, 24, of Coatesville, turned himself in at district court on Thursday at 10:05 a.m. on a warrant, Officer Joseph Norcini reported. Jennings was taken into custody and transported to the police station for processing, police said.
