Pizza deliveryman reports Stromboli theft

Police said  six juveniles who surrounded his car were responsible

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn Tuesday at 8:20 p.m. in the 300 block of East Diamond Street, Officer Joseph Norcini was flagged down by a pizza delivery driver, who reported that while making a delivery, he was accosted by six black juveniles, police said. Two of the juveniles stood in front of his car and blocked it, two climbed on the car, and another opened the door and stole a $22 Stromboli before they all fled, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 610-384-2300.

A 26-year-old Coatesville resident gave false information to authorities about his identity when the vehicle in which he was riding was stopped by police at Chestnut Street and First Avenue on Wednesday at 2 p.m., Officer Joe Thompson reported. Brian James was determined to have four warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody, police said.

On Wednesday at 1:45 a.m., police were dispatched to East Lincoln Highway for a fight, police said. During the investigation, Cpl. Jonathan Shave observed Jazlyn Bryant, 24, of Coatesville, screaming and yelling in the area of the 700 block, police said. Bryant, who refused several opportunities to leave, was taken into custody, cited for public drunkenness, and held until sober, police said.

Police responded to the unit block of North Seventh Avenue for a fight complaint at 1:22 a.m. on Wednesday, Cpl. Jonathan Shave reported. Upon investigation, William Cooper, 21, of Coatesville, was cited for harassment for allegedly striking the victim in the face, police said.

Officer Joe Thompson observed a suspicious vehicle while on patrol in 800 block of Lumber Street on Tuesday at 10:11 a.m., police said. After an investigation, Travis Boyer, 23, of Coatesville, was charged with drug offenses, including possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Officer Ryan Corcoran made contact with Thomas Boyer, 48, of Coatesville, at Valley Township district court on Wednesday at 8:13 p.m., police said. Boyer was taken into custody on an assault warrant, arraigned, and released on $25,000 unsecured bail, police said.

On Wednesday at 8:55 a.m., Officer Raymond Jaglowicz made contact with Fareed Bradley, 36, of Coatesville, in the 100 block of Harlan Drive, where officers responded to a domestic dispute, police said. Bradley was cited for possessing a BB gun, police said.

A Honey Brook man was identified as having exposed himself to a woman on North Eighth Avenue on Tuesday at 12:50 p.m., Officer Stephen Galletta reported. Charges will be filed against Joshua Griest, 28, police said.

The owner of a1997 Pontiac Trans Sport, parked on the shoulder in the 500 block of Coates Street on Sept. 29, was apparently the victim of a hit-and-run driver, Officer Raymond Jaglowicz reported. When the owner returned to the vehicle on Tuesday at 3:09 p.m., she found damage consistent with being sideswiped, including a loose driver’s side-view mirror, police said.

On Tuesday at 10:23 a.m., Officers Raymond Jaglowicz and Stephen Galletta were dispatched to 400 block of East Lincoln Highway for a disorderly subject, police said. Witnesses and victims said Preston Rush, 43, of Coatesville, began shouting racial epithets and making threats, continuing his tirade when he was questioned, police said. Citations will be filed against Rush, who had fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.

State police from the Embreeville barracks observed traffic violation on the westbound U.S. 30 Bypass at Airport Road in Valley Township on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. After making contact with the driver, Edward A. Bonanni, 61, of Glen Mills, police said they determined he was driving under the influence of drugs. Charges were filed at district court, police said.
