City officers on routine patrol made contact with 19-year-old
While on routine patrol on Friday at 11:41 p.m., Coatesville Officers Joe Thompson and Joe Woulfe made contact with Tremayne Styer, 19, of Coatesville, who was wanted for an armed robbery on Wednesday. Styer was taken into custody and held for arraignment. After failed to post $15,000 cash bail, Styer was transported to Chester County Prison to await a preliminary hearing on Oct. 21, court records said.
On Friday at 1:41 a.m. Coatesville Police were dispatched to the 700 block of East Diamond Street for a burglary complaint, Officer Joseph Norcini reported. The victim said that at some point during the day, $3,200 and rent receipts were taken from the residence, police said. Two Coatesville residents were charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after police responded to a domestic disturbance on Saturday at 6:08 p.m. in the unit block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Officer Kirt Guyer reported. Police said Stefanie Zook-Brown, 38, and Harold K. Woodley, 55, got into an argument that turned physical, hitting each other with a paint roller. Both sustained injuries, police said.
On Friday at 7:06 a.m., police made contact with a victim who stated that five or six malesĀ had damaged her vehicle at the Gas Stop in the 600 block of East Lincoln Highway at approximately 3 a.m. while she was pumping gas, Coatesville Officer Joseph Norcini reported. Cpl. Brenden M. Boyle was dispatched to the intersection of Hope Avenue and West Lincoln Highway on Friday at 2:25 p.m. for a two-vehicle accident, police said. Steven B. Patterson, 61, of Coatesville, was stopped at the stop sign on Hope Avenue attempting to turn his 2007 Chevrolet pickup onto West Lincoln Highway when he realized he was out too far into the intersection and backed up, hitting a 2003 Ford Mustang and causing minor damage, police said. Both operators were wearing seatbelts and were not injured, police said. Patterson was cited for limitations on backing up, and the driver of the Ford, Judith Gutierrez, 23, of Coatesville, was cited for driving without a license, police said.
A well-being check on Sunday at 4:48 a.m. in the 1500 block of Coates Street led to driving under the influence charges, Officer Jose Colon reported. Police found Larry London Jr., 31, slumped over the steering wheel and unresponsive, and he was processed for drunken-driving.
Coatesville Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 1200 block of East Lincoln Highway on Monday at 1:13 a.m., coming into contact with Bryan R. Smith, 29, of Wagontown, Officer Jose Colon reported. Police determined that Smith had a warrant, and he was taken to the station to await transport by constables, police said.
Police were dispatched to the unit block of South 13th Avenue on Sunday at 8:16 a.m. for a domestic disturbance, Cpl. Brenden M. Boyle reported. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Justin Armour, 26, and Gerard Geter, 23, both of Coatesville, police said. Both were involved in an altercation which stemmed from a dispute the previous day when Armour allegedly swung a rake at Geter and continued the following morning when Geter punched Armour in the face, police said, adding that both were cited for harassment.
City police responded to three calls for criminal mischief to vehicles on Sunday, Cpl. Brenden M. Boyle reported. A 2008 Kia Sportage parked in the 800 block of Coates Street that sustained a shattered windshield sometime overnight, and a Chevrolet Tahoe in a parking lot at Harmony Street and Star Alley had a white granular substance inside the gas cap, police said. Officer Joseph Norcini responded to the municipal parking lot at City Hall Plaza, where a woman said her vehicle’s rear passenger window was broken overnight. During the investigation of a disturbance call in the 800 block of East Chestnut Street on Saturday at 8:30 p.m., Det. Brandon Harris and Officers Raymond Jaglowicz and Kirt Guyer made contact with Tracey Kelly, 44, of Coatesville, who had a bench warrant for a parole violation, police said. Kelly was taken into custody to await transport by constables, police said.
Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Valley Road on Saturday at 1:15 p.m. for a burglary complaint, Cpl. Brenden M. Boyle reported. October 12, 2013 at 1315 hoursĀ for a reported burglary discovered. The back door to the residence was kicked in and several tools were removed from the vacant property, police said. Drevon Echols, 19, of Coatesville, was taken into custody without incident after a pedestrian stop at Seventh Avenue and Lumber Street on Saturday at 12:47 a.m., Officer Ryan Corcoran reported. Police said Echols had a warrant, and he was taken to the station to await transport by constables.
Officer Joe Thompson was dispatched to a crowd of people fighting in the street at Seventh Avenue and Merchant Street on Saturday at 3:09 a.m., police said. Upon arrival, Kelsey Wilkerson, 22, of Coatesville, was found lying on the ground with head injuries and transported to Brandywine Hospital, police said. Wilkerson denied being involved in a fight, police said.
Gerome Gray 19, of Coatesville, was taken into custody on a warrant after a pedestrian stop in the 700 block of Lincoln Highway at 11:12 p.m. on Friday, Officer Ryan Corcoran reported.
On Friday at 12:28 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of West Lincoln Highway, where they took Mark L. McCarraher, 43, of Coatesville, into custody on a bench warrant, Officer Joseph Norcini reported.
Officers Kirt Guyer and Raymond Jaglowicz made a pedestrian stop at Strode Avenue and West Lincoln Highway and determined that Matthew Heaps, 21, of Chadds Ford, had a domestic-relations warrant, police said. Heaps was taken into custody to await transport by constables, police said.
Officer Joe Woulfe responded to the 200 block of Walnut Street for a medical problem and found Katherine Henry, 22, of Allentown, who had fainted on the sidewalk, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and was uncooperative with emergency medical personnel, police said. Henry was taken into custody, cited for public drunkenness, and later transported to Chester County Prison for a warrant from Lehigh County.
An alleged dispute over a parking space in the 800 block of Coates Street led to a harassment citation for Tenesia Jones, 41, of Coatesville, Officer Joe Woulfe reported. Police said the disagreement escalated when Jones struck the other person in the mouth.

Police are looking for green and blue two-door sedan with rear-end damage that struck another vehicle and fled from Pennsylvania Avenue and East Lincoln Highway on Friday at 1:32 p.m., Officer Joseph Norcini reported. The victim said she was stopped at a red light when the sedan pulled out of a parking space at the Midway Grill and struck the passenger side of her vehicle, police said. Salonia Brown, 55, of Philadelphia, was arrested for public drunkenness on Saturday at 2:23 a.m., Officer Joe Thompson reported. Police said Brown, who showed signed of intoxication, was loud and disorderly at the Marriott Courtyard hotel in Coatesville and then got into an argument with family members at the nearby Turkey Hill before walking into the road, causing a danger to himself and others, police said.
Alan Keith Rollins, 59, of Lancaster, was arrested for driving under the influence on Thursday at 11:09 p.m., said state police from the Embreeville barracks. Police said Rollins, who showed signs of intoxication, was detained during a traffic stop at Strasburg and Clearfield Roads in East Fallowfield Township.
A 22-year-old Brookhaven woman was cited for speeding after a one-vehicle accident on Oct. 7 on the U.S. 30 Byass exit ramp to Rt. 322 in Caln Township, state police said. Police said Caitlan J. Bersheim was traveling west on the bypass when she swerved onto the ramp too fast to negotiate the curve, police said. Her 1997 Toyota Corolla spun, crossed the median and impacted a guide rail on the on-ramp, police said. She was transported to Brandywine Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and cited for driving too fast for conditions, state police said.
On Thursday, troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on the U.S. 30 Bypass exit ramp to Rt. 322 in Caln Township, state police said. A 2002 Mitsubishi Galant driven by Brooke A. Dickson, 22, of Huntingdon, was cited for following too closely when she rear-ended a 2005 Honda CR-V that was stopped at the stop sign, police said, adding that no one was injured.
