Officers were called to his attention by lewd behavior
Responding to a complaint on Wednesday at 3:36 p.m. about lewd behavior in the 200 block of New Street, police caught up with the suspect, who had fled in a white minivan, Officer Joseph Thompson reported. A white Chrysler rental vehicle was stopped at Chester Street and East Lincoln Highway, and police said the driver, Vicshawn Hunt, 28, of Coatesville, was driving with a suspended license and was not an authorized operator of the vehicle.
In addition, police said they found Hunt in possession of an eight ball of cocaine and U.S. currency; he was charged with indecent exposure and felony drug offenses. Hunt was arraigned and remanded to Chester County Prison after failing to post $150,000 cash bail, according to court records. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, records said.
On Tuesday, Coatesville Police responded to the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway for an attempted robbery, Officer Sylvester Earle reported. The victim said he was using an electronic device when he was approached by a group of unknown subjects, one of whom, a tall black male in his late teens or early 20s wearing dark clothing yelled: “Give it to me,” police said. The victim took off running and was able to escape police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.
State police from the Embreeville barracks said Mark A. Anderson, 50, address unknown, entered a stolen vehicle on Tuesday at 11:49 a.m. at Sixth Avenue and Diamond Street. Anderson led police on a vehicle pursuit before fleeing on foot, police said. He was taken into custody by state police in a wooded area behind a residence, police said.
While on routine patrol on Tuesday, Coatesville Officer Joseph Thompson stopped a vehicle for failure to use a turning signal on Rt. 82 at Wagontown Road, police said. Police said they determined that both occupants – Blake Kristman, 44, of Parkesburg, and Peter Jennings, 44, of Coatesville, possessed marijuana. Kristman was also arrested for possession of a firearm without a license to carry, police said
On Tuesday at 11:49 a.m., Cpl. Jonathan Shave observed Lisette Buenrostro, 19, of Coatesville, walking in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway. Buenrostro, who had several warrants for her arrest, was taken into custody, police said.
Harassment charges were filed against a 14-year-old girl after police investigated a complaint that she had repeatedly used obscene gestures and profanity against a mother and daughter, Cpl. Larry Cooper reported.
Coatesville Police took Kristopher Wilkinson, 23, of Coatesville, into custody on a warrant in the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway on Tuesday, Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie reported. The warrant stemmed from an earlier investigation of a terroristic threat made by Wilkinson, who had allegedly said he was going to stab his father and brother, police said. Wilkinson was arraigned and sent to Chester County Prison after failing to post cash bail of $100,000.
On Wednesday at 1:12 a.m., Cpl. Jeffrey lngemie conducted a traffic stop on a Cadillac SUV for an equipment violation, police said. The operator of the vehicle, Steven Morris, 23, of Coatesville, was found to have a suspended license, police said, adding that a search of the vehicle uncovered prescription pills and marijuana. Morris was arrested for drug possession and transported to the station to await arraignment, police said.
On Tuesday at 9:05 p.m., police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of East Lincoln Highway, Officer David Marquette reported. Upon investigation, police said Timothy Jacobs, 19, of Coatesville, was charged with simple assault for injuring his girlfriend and transported to the station to await arraignment.
During a traffic stop on Tuesday at 7:09 p.m. in the 700 block of Merchant Street, police found that a rear-seat passenger, Ernest Joint, 18, of Coatesville, was in possession of narcotics, Officer David Marquette reported. Joint was arrested and transported to the station to await arraignment, police said.
On Wednesday at 2:21 a.m., police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of East Lincoln Highway, Officer David Marquette reported. Upon arrival, Marquette made contact with Stephon Toney, 30, of Coatesville, who was intoxicated to a degree that prompted occupants of an apartment building to complain, police said. Stephon was arrested and transported to the station to be held until sober, police said.
