City police: Airborne bottles lead to citations

Two men accused of  throwing projectiles during dispute

IMG_0486On Wednesday at 10:41 p.m., Coatesville Police responded to the 700 block of East Diamond Street for a fight in progress with bottles being thrown, Officer Sylvester Earle reported. Upon investigation, Steven Carter, 20, and Craig Milbourne Jr., 21, both of Coatesville, were identified as the bottle-throwers and cited for disorderly conduct and harassment, police said

A dispute over a parked vehicle at North Eighth Avenue and Pierce Court led to a public drunkenness arrest on Sunday at 8:06 p.m., Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie reported. Clarence Goodwin, 45, of Coatesville, received the citation, police said.

An investigation into vandalism in the 100 block of North Third Avenue resulted in criminal-mischief citations for a group of juveniles, Officers Stephen Galletta and Ryan Corcoran reported. Police said on Wednesday at 8:42 p.m., the teens threw a yellow road barricade at the door of a residence. Officers made contact with the 15- and 16-year-olds in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street, and the victim identified them, police said.

On Sunday at 1:13 a.m., a traffic stop in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway led to drunken-driving charges against Lindolfo Sanchez, 29, of Coatesville, Officer Stephen Galletta reported. Sanchez, who showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests, admitted to drinking earlier in the night, police said. Sanchez refused to give blood for testing and was taken into custody and held until sober, police said, adding that charges were filed in district court. \
