Police: Drunken woman acts out, increases charges

Behavior in custody allegedly included assaulting uniformed officer

ImageOn Wednesday, police responded to a fight in the 700 block of East Diamond Avenue at 10:41 p.m., Officer Sylvester Earle reported. Officers made contact with Cheree D. Fuller, 22, of Coatesville, who initially gave police a false name and was intoxicated to the degree that she was a danger to herself and others, police said.  Fuller was arrested and transported to the station, where she committed several other offenses by flooding the cell, destroying police property, and assaulting a uniformed  officer, police said.

Fuller, who was charged with felony aggravated assault, simple assault, institutional vandalism, resisting arrest, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and harassment, was arraigned and taken to Chester County Prison after failing to post bail. False identification to law enforcement charges are pending, police said.

Police found William L. Woodward, 31, of Coatesville, sleeping on Sunday at 4:50 a.m. while seated in the driver’s seat of his Chevrolet Suburban parked in the 100 block of Virginia Avenue, Officer Guy Bruchstein reported. When officers went to check on Woodward’s well-being, they found him in possession of substances suspected to be cocaine and marijuana, police said. Woodward was arrested and charged with drug offenses, police said.

Coatesville Police were dispatched to the 300 block of West Harmony Street on Saturday at 11:08 p.m. for a report of shots fired, Cpl. Brenden M. Boyle reported. Responding officers located nine spent casings but did not locate a victim, police said. The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.

A complaint about a domestic dispute on Friday in the 800 block of Coates Street resulted in a harassment citation on Sunday for Gupree White, 25, of Coatesville, Officer Carmen Mollichella reported. White allegedly struck the victim in the face with an open hand, police said.

On Sunday at 7:43 p.m. a resident said he started his car to warm it up, locked the doors, went back into his house, and came out 10 minutes later to find the car gone, Officer Carmen Mollichella reported. At 11 p.m., Caln Township Police located the vehicle in the area of Carver Court, police said. The vehicle was unoccupied, and the keys were no longer inside, police said. The vehicle was towed back to the Coatesville Police Department to be processed for fingerprints; anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.

Police observed Brittany L. Fuller of Coatesville walking in the area of North Seventh Avenue and East Lincoln Highway on Monday at 1:36 a.m. and took her into custody on a warrant for a probation violation, Officer Chris McCarthy reported. Fuller was transported to the Chester County Prison by constables, police said.

On Friday at 8:13 p.m., police responded to a motor-vehicle accident on South Third Avenue and East Lincoln Highway, Officer Chris McCarthy reported. Juan M. Aguilera-Lara was taken into custody for driving under the influence and related offenses, police said. Agullera-Lara was transported to the Chester County Prison after failing to post cash bail of $5,000.00.

Police responded to the 200 block of Charles Street on Saturday at 11:20 a.m. for a vandalism report, Officer Jose Colon reported. Upon investigation, officers determined that someone entered the residence through a rear window and removed the copper pipes from the basement area, police said. Police were dispatched on Sunday at 11:47 p.m. to the 500 block of East Chestnut Street for a criminal-mischief report regarding a vehicle, Officer Joseph Norcini reported. The victim said that sometime overnight someone had thrown an object that broke the rear window of the vehicle, police said.  Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 610-384-2300.

On Saturday at 5:30 p.m. police made contact with the victim of a hit-and-run accident in the unit block of North Third Avenue, Officer Joseph Norcini reported. The victim said the vehicle, which had been parked on the east side of the street, sustained damage to its front. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 610-384-2300.

Police were dispatched to the 100 block of North Third Avenue for a domestic disturbance on Saturday at 7:54 p.m., Officer Carmen Mollichella reported. Upon investigation, Vanessa Torres, 21, and Evita Leach, 25, both of Coatesville, were cited for criminal trespass and harassment, and Michael Leach, 24, of Coatesville, was taken into custody on an outstanding criminal warrant out of West Whiteland Township, police said.

Acting on an anonymous tip on Thursday at 12:28 p.m., police, with the assistance of the Cain Township officers, took Tarrelle Gravely, 24, of Coatesville, into custody in the 200 block of Reeceville Road on a bench warrant for a violation of parole for robbery, Cpl. Jonathan Shave reported. Gravely was remanded to Chester County Prison, police said.

A domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Strode Avenue led to the arrest of Nestor A. Morillo, 36, of Miami, Fla., Cpl. Jonathan Shave reported. Morillo was subsequently arrested for assault, terroristic threats, and possession of instruments of crime after he threatened the victim with a knife, police said. He was processed and held for video arraignment.

On Saturday at 3:03 p.m., police responded to Hope Avenue and West Lincoln Highway for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries, Officer Jose Colon reported. One of the drivers, Victor Alvarez, 35, of Coatesville, was cited for driving with a suspended license, police said.

A traffic violation led to drug charges on Sept. 30 at 10:58 a.m. for a Coatesville man, state police from the Embreeville barracks said. John P. Stanley, 31, who was driving a tan Ford Taurus, was stopped in the 700 block of East Chestnut Street and found to be in possession of marijuana, police said. Charges were filed in district court, police said.
