City police make arrest for alleged vehicle vandalism

31-year-old man accused of doing more than $1,000 worth of damage 

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn Saturday, Nov. 2, at 7:19 a.m., Coatesville Police responded to the 100 block of Victoria Drive for a criminal-mischief complaint, Officer Sylvester Earle reported. Upon investigation, William Woodward Jr., 31, of Coatesville, was charged in connection with doing more than $1,000 worth of damage to a parked vehicle, police said.

A domestic disturbance led police to the 200 block Union Avenue at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, Officer Sylvester Earle reported. The victim said Luis Garcia-Rodriguez, 29, of Coatesville, physically assaulted her, police said, adding that criminal charges were filed against him.

 On Saturday, Nov. 02, at 5:02 p.m., Coatesville Police were called to the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway “for an intoxicated female,” Officer Sylvester Earle reported. After making contact with Kelly L. Hepfl, 38, of Coatesville, police said they determined that Hepfl was a danger to herself and others and took her into custody without incident.

Responding to a disturbance in the unit block of Oak Street on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2:37 a.m., Cpl. Jonathan Shave found Kristopher Wilkinson, 23, of Coatesville, passed out in the roadway and determined he was under the influence of PCP, police said. Wilkinson was taken into custody, and charged with drug possession, prowling at night, and obstructing the roadway, police said. He was arraigned and released on $2,000 unsecured bail, police said.

On Nov. 2, at 5:07 a.m., Cpl. Jonathan Shave observed Grant Maxwell, 43, address unknown, in the 500 block of Chestnut Street, police said. Maxwell, who had a criminal warrant from the Pennsylvania State Police, was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of a crack pipe, police said. Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia will be filed, police said.

Coatesville Police observed Stephon Toney, 31, of Coatesville, in the 600 block of East Lincoln Highway on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3:26 a.m., Cpl. Ken Michels reported. Toney, who had three bench warrants, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the station to await transport to Chester County Prison by constables.
