City police: He ran, but not fast enough

After foot pursuit, officers reportedly catch man wanted on warrant

Image 2On Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 3:51 p.m., Coatesville Cpl. Ken Michels and Officer Rob Kuech came into contact with Guillermo Roman, 24, of Coatesville, in the 100 block of East Diamond Street. Roman, who had a bench warrant for a parole violation, took flight, ignoring officers’ commands to stop, police said. A foot pursuit ensued, and officers took Roman into custody in the 200 block of East Diamond Street, police said. Roman was transported to the station to await transport by constables to Chester County Prison; he will also be charged with flight to avoid apprehension and related offenses, police said.

Police responded to the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 2:10 p.m. for the discovery of a burglary, Officer Joseph Norcini reported. The victim said that sometime after 6 p.m. on Friday night, someone entered the apartment and stole a video game console valued at $350, a flat screen TV valued at $200, and a laptop valued at $250. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.

Kennett Square Police said they detained John Kasper, 28, of Coatesville, on Friday, Nov. 29, in the 100 block of Waterworks Drive in Kennett Square for a warrant out of Delaware County.  Kasper was released to constables for transport to Delaware County Prison.
