City police: Man shot during Sunday home invasion

Detectives say victim recovering from two gunshot wounds 

IMG_0486On Sunday, Dec. 22, Coatesville Police responded to a shooting during a home-invasion robbery at 5:20 a.m. in an apartment in the 300 block of Victoria Drive, Det. Kevin Campbell reported. Five black males, all wearing masks and displaying handguns, entered the apartment while the occupants of the apartment were asleep; one occupant, Anthony Lee, 28, was shot twice and is in stable condition at Paoli Hospital, police said.

Also present in the home were two adult women and two small children, police said. Anyone with information pertaining to the incident is asked to call police at 610-384-2300. Police were called to the Marriott Courtyard on Monday, Dec. 23, at 10:23 a.m. after the manager smelled marijuana coming from one of the rooms, Officer Arthur Brown reported. When officers arrived, the smell was strong and Kadra M. Steele, 38, of Coatesville, answered the door, police said. Steele, who had a small amount of marijuana in her possession, was processed and released pending summons, police said.

On Friday, Dec. 20, at 12:10 a.m., Officer Sylvester Earle was on patrol in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway when he came upon a Mitsubishi Gallant that had been broken into in the Kool Bar parking lot, police said.
