Striking vehicle described as silver or white Nissan SUV
On Monday, Jan. 6, at 5:03 a.m., Coatesville Police responded to the 600 block of East Chestnut Street for a hit-and-run auto accident, Officer Jose Colon reported. Upon investigation, officers determined that an unknown person operating a silver or white Nissan SUV struck the victim’s 1999 Chevrolet Blazer which was parked in front of 636 E. Chestnut St., police said. The driver of the SUV then fled, police said. For the second time in less than a week, Coatesville Police took Demetrius Dixon, 45, whois reportedly homeless, into custody for public drunkenness, Officer Joseph Norcini reported. Officers observed Dixon stumbling in the unit block of Strode; he was taken to the station and held until sober, police said. On Friday, Jan. 3, officers found Dixon lying in the snow and unable to walk from intoxication, police said.
A domestic disturbance on Sunday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. led police to the 300 block of Walnut Street, Cpl. Jonathan Shave reported. A subsequent investigation resulted in charges against Robert Davidson, 62, of Coatesville, accused of assaulting his teenage stepson, police said. The 17-year-old was treated for injuries at Brandywine Hospital; Davidson was held for arraignment on charges that included simple assault and terroristic threats, police said.
Coatesville Police responded to an assault/robbery that occurred in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 5 p.m., Coatesville Police Officer Guy Bruchstein reported. The victim said three males approached and lured him into a parking lot, where he was assaulted and robbed, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
