Coatesville woman: Drug supplier robbed her

Two accomplices restrained her as gun-toting dealer took $90, she said

Image 2Police are seeking information regarding two incidents reported on Thursday: one involving robbery, and the other, vandalism.

Coatesville Police Officer Chris McCarthy responded at 5:32 p.m. to a harassment complaint from a resident of Pennsylvania Avenue. The woman said she had been receiving disturbing calls from a drug supplier she knows only as “P.J.,” police said. She said P.J. and two unknown black females in the rear of 600 E. Lincoln Hwy. approached her. about 3:15 p.m.; then P.J., who displayed a handgun, took $90 from her while the women held her, police said.

Police said P.J. was described as a black male in his 20s who drives a small white car. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 610-384-2300.

A black male, about 6-foot-1, with a goatee is being sought in connection with an incident of criminal mischief on Thursday at 8:05 p.m. at the McCool property in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway, police said. Witnesses said the suspect, wearing black Polo boots and khaki pants, shot out the front glass door with a BB gun, causing about $400 in damage, police said. The suspect was last seen running southeast from the building, police said.

Police made three arrests on outstanding warrants on Thursday. Officer Stephen Galletta processed Steven Taylor, of Coatesville, who turned himself in at the station at 12:42 p.m.  Officer McCarthy, assisted by constables, served a warrant on Grant L. Maxwell in the 700 block of East Lincoln Highway at 11:55 a.m. police said. Maxwell has no permanent address, police said.

McCarthy, with assistance from South Coatesville police, also arrested Quontella R. Myers on a warrant at her South Coatesville residence. The warrant resulted from an arrest made by Cpl. Jeffery Ingemie on Feb. 22 at 8:23 a.m. at the scene of a traffic accident, where Myers was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, police said.  Myers was transported to Chester County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $10,000 cash bail.
