Victim reportedly tells officers that teen grabbed iPhone and fled
On Friday, Jan. 17, at 10:08 p.m., Coatesville Officer Carmen Mollichella was dispatched to the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway for a robbery report, police said. The alleged victim told officers that he had posted an ad on Craig’s List to sell an iPhone4 and agreed to meet the prospective buyer at a store in the block, where he was approached by three black males, ages 15 to 16, police said.
One of the teens asked to look at the phone to make sure it worked and then fled without paying for it, police said. The victim said that he gave chase but fell, allowing the thief to escape, police said. Police said they were unable to locate the suspect. Police came into contact with Rodney V. Gilley, 39, of Coatesville, on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 5:17 p.m. in the 200 block of New Street, Officer Chris McCarthy reported. Gilley, who had a bench warrant, was taken into custody without incident, police said.
A disturbance call led police to the 400 block of East Chestnut Street on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 1:30 a.m., Officer Guy Bruchstein reported. Police said they came into contact with Sean Nicholas, 30, of Norristown, who was intoxicated and was cited for public drunkenness.








A few months ago I sold something on Craig’s List. While communicating with the buyer and before she came over I got not only her full name and number but also her email address. I took down as much info as possible in case it were to turn out like this one did. Not to be paranoid. With Craig’s List especially it’s better to be safe than sorry.
