Coatesville Police seek info on shooting

PoliceTapeCOATESVILLE — City police are asking for assistance from anyone with information about a shooting on Jan. 27 that left a man wounded.

Police were called to the scene of a reported shooting on Jan. 27 at Walnut Street and Virginia Avenue.  Upon arrival, police said they located evidence of shots being fired in the area. Several cars and houses in the area showed evidence of being shot, but there were no reported injuries.

Several hours later city police received a report of a shooting victim arriving at Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia. The victim was Phillip Edwards Jr. who suffered a gunshot wound to his buttock while in the area of the initial shooting report. Edwards was released from Einstein Hospital a few hours later.
