Officials released few details until next of kin notified
Coatesville Police are investigating a homicide reported at 4 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Olive Street.

Law-enforcement officials said a homicide occurred in Coatesville Thursday afternoon at approximately 4 p.m. in the the 500 block of Olive Street.
The homicide is being investigated by the Coatesville Police Department, the Chester County Detectives, and the Pennsylvania State Police, said Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan. He said that the victim is an adult male and that no further details will be released until Friday afternoon.
Neighbors in the area reported hearing gunshots and said they believed someone was taken to the hospital. Hogan declined comment on those reports.
