Caln names Vymazal as new Township Manager

The Caln Township Board of Commissioners has appointed Don Vymazal as the new Township Manager. Vymazal, who was previously the Township Manager of Upper Providence Township in Delaware County, was selected to fill the position after a months-long search. He will direct all executive township functions, including supervision of the Police, Public Works, Finance, Building and Life Safety, and Administration departments, as well as Ingleside Golf Course. Vymazal’s first day at Caln will be on December 4th.

“After an extensive search for a new Township Manager, out of a long list of highly qualified candidates, this Board feels that we have chosen the right person to ensure our future success,” said Paul Mullin, President of the Board of Commissioners. “His professionalism, experience, and knowledge of local and state government made this an easy decision. The Commissioners and our staff look forward to having him come on board!”

“I am honored and extremely grateful to continue my public service career as Township Manager for Caln Township. I’m committed to continuing the exciting efforts of the township, and I am eager to take on new projects in the interest of the long-term success of this fantastic community,” stated Vymazal.

Prior to joining Upper Providence Township, Vymazal spent 17 years working in the Pennsylvania State Senate for multiple state senators. In addition to serving as Chief of Staff and managing constituent services, Vymazal liaised extensively with local governments, and he developed an interest in serving at the municipal level. He has an MA in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in history. He and his new wife, Jess, have recently moved to Caln Township.
