At the 4th annual Partner Appreciation Reception on November 12, the Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance celebrated community partners and recognized Coatesville native Mondre Alston as the 2024 recipient of the Tammy Cansler-Miles Economic Development Award. Alston accepted the award in front of a crowd of more than 100 community partners who gathered for the event held at the Arches in Coatesville. Alston, a successful entrepreneur, is dedicated to generating housing revitalization in Coatesville as well as mentoring emerging entrepreneurs and volunteering his time to serve the community.
The award was created in partnership by the Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance and the Chester County Industrial Development Authority to honor Ms. Cansler-Miles’ legacy and acknowledge the outstanding work of other like-minded individuals.
“We are deeply grateful to all of the individuals and organizations that have partnered with the 2nd Century Alliance this year who have helped us make positive and meaningful impact in the City,” says Amber Little Turner, Executive Director, Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance. “Looking ahead to 2025, the Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance will be celebrating 10 years of service, a milestone that reflects not only our commitment to Coatesville but also the incredible progress we’ve made together. While there is still much to be done, we should all take pride in how far we’ve come.”
