West Whiteland officers said 24-year-old Coatesville man failed field sobriety tests
A 24-year-old Coatesville resident was stopped for speeding on the Rt. 30 Bypass on Thursday at 1:14 a.m., West Whiteland Township Police said. The investigating officer detected evidence of intoxication and issued field sobriety tests, which John B. Pedrick failed, police said. Pedrick was taken to Chester County Hospital to have blood drawn for analysis and then released pending a summons from district court, police said.
On Wednesday at 12:30 a.m., Officer Stephen Galletta made contact with Michael Clary, 25, of Coatesville, who was in a parked vehicle in the parking lot in the unit block of North Seventh Avenue, police said. Galletta, who failed field sobriety tests, was arrested for driving under the influence, police said.
On Friday, Officer Stephen Galletta viewed dozens of harassing text messages and over 60 phone calls that a Coatesville woman said had been received from Bryan Dow, 35, of Downingtown, police said. Dow, who will be cited for harassment, was contacted and advised to cease the communication, police said.
On Thursday at 9:46 a.m. Officer Kirt Guyer was dispatched to the 500 block of Olive Street for a criminal-mischief complaint, police said. The victim stated that the passenger rear window of a 2009 black Jeep Patriot had been broken by an unknown person, damage estimated at $372, police said.
State police from the Embreeville barracks said they stopped Justine E. Jackson, 25, of Coatesville, for a traffic violation on Saturday at 2:07 a.m. on G.O. Carlson Boulevard in Caln Township. Jackson was determined to be under the influence, arrested, processed, and released, state police said.
