Line-painting crews will be working on area state highways this week
Motorists are advised that line-painting will occur Monday through Friday this week on state highways in East and West Caln, East and West Brandywine, Sadsbury, Valley, Highland and East and West Fallowfield Townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDot) said.
Drivers should maintain ample distance behind the slow-moving, line-painting trucks and stay off the traffic lines, PennDOT said, adding that the work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Bondsville Road in Caln Township will be closed and detoured between East Kings Highway and Fisherville Road from Thursday through July 15 for pipeline construction.
Nighttime travel restrictions will occur next week on U.S. 202 for bridge construction and paving between the Rt. 29 and U.S. 30 interchanges in East Whiteland Township, part of a project to expand the highway to six lanes between the Swedesford Road and Route 30 interchanges.
On Monday through Thursday, U.S. 202 north will be reduced to one lane between U.S. 30 and Rt. 401 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning for bridge construction. Intermittent 15-minute traffic stoppages will occur in either direction on Tuesday between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. for crane repositioning.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the single-lane pattern on northbound U.S 202 will be extended from the Rt. 401 interchange to the Rt. 29 interchange from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning for paving and sound wall and retaining wall construction.
On Monday through Friday, southbound U.S. 202 will be reduced to one lane from Rt. 401 to the Church Road overpass from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning for construction.
