PennDOT updates residents on area roadwork

Crews will perform maintenance from brush-cutting to shoulder repair

imgBOMOHomeThe Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced the following roadwork in the area this week so that motorists can be prepared for delays or detours.

Brush-cutting will cause intermittent lane closures on U.S. 30 in Caln, West and East Caln Townships and Downingtown Borough between Rts. 113 and 340 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Thursday.

Shoulder repair work is scheduled on U.S. 30 in East Caln, Caln, Valley and Sadsbury Townships between Rts. 10 and 340 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday, causing intermittent lane closures.

State highways in East and West Caln, East and West Brandywine, Sadsbury, Valley, Highland and East and West Fallowfield Townships will be subject to slow-moving, line-painting operations through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Motorists are urged to keep a safe distance behind line-painting trucks and stay off the new lines.

Utility installation will result in lane restrictions Wednesday and Thursday on U.S. 30 in Coatesville between Strode and Hope Avenues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Detours continue through July 15 on Bondsville Road between East Kings Highway and Fisherville Road in Caln Township for utility work.
