One occurred Monday evening, the second Wednesday morning
Two armed home invasions in less than 36 hours are under investigation in Coatesville, police said Wednesday.
The first robbery occurred on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the unit block of South Fourth Avenue, Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie reported. An unknown black male with a handgun pushed a victim at the residence while another unknown black assailant, also displaying a handgun, rifled through the victim’s pockets, taking a cell phone and wallet, police said. Another victim was robbed of a cell phone and wallet by the same actors in another room, police said.
Both suspects were described as being in their late teens or early 20s, about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8. One was wearing a black hoodie tied tightly around his face and khaki pants, and the other wore a gray hoodie tied tightly around his face, police said
On Wednesday, Officer Stephen Galletta responded to the 400 block of Maple Avenue at 12:29 a.m. for a home-invasion report, police said. Galletta made contact with the victims, who said they were in a bedroom watching a movie when two black males with black handguns entered the room after gaining entry to the residence through a window, police said.
The actors told the victims, who were not injured, not to move or do anything, asked them where the money was, and took the victims’ keys, cell phones, and cash before exiting the home and stealing the victims’ vehicle, police said. Police recovered the unoccupied vehicle in the vicinity. The robbers, both of whom wore black hooded sweatshirts, were described as being about 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds. Anyone with information about either robbery is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.
Michael, you can still see hands and faces
Did the victim see what race the guys were inside the hoodie? Gee, just wondering!
