Grammy-nominated rap musician to be featured speaker at fund-raising dinner
A hub of activity at all hours of the day and night, the Bridge Academy and Community Center (BACC) in downtown Coatesville is hosting its First Annual Bridge Academy “Night of Hope,” a fund-raising dinner designed to enable the center to continue its mission of helping others.
The dinner will be held at Gateway Church in Parkesburg on Nov. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. All proceeds will go directly to the Bridge Academy and Community Center, and donations are tax-exempt.
The guest speaker will be William “Duce” Branch, also known as The Ambassador, a Grammy-nominated rap musician. A graduate of Lancaster Bible College and Dallas Theological Seminary, Branch is known as a gifted, unorthodox speaker and a pioneer in hip-hop and urban context ministry. In addition, students will describe some of BACC’s high-impact programs.
Tickets for the dinner are $50 a plate or $400 to reserve a table of eight. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to buy ad space in the program, which runs from $25 for 1/8 page to $100 for a full page. Organizers said they hope to raise $50,000, which will help continue programs such as Mom’s Night, Middle School Night, and Art Classes Through Art Partners.
