Jiggley Jones named Songwriter of Year by international association
A Coatesville-area entertainer was honored Saturday, Nov. 2, as Songwriter of the Year at the 2013 International Music and Entertainment Association Awards (IMEA) ceremony in Ashland, Ky.
Jiggley Jones of East Fallowfield Township, an Americana singer-songwriter who was also nominated for Best music Video for “Baby Blue,” accepted the award while his management company, MTS Management Group, was named Manager of the Year, an MTS press release said. Another MTS artist, Amy Rose, won Country Entertainer of the Year, the release said.
Michael Stover of MTS Management Group said the honors were humbling and surprising. “We were so thrilled, just to be nominated,” he said. “Our artists received a total of 13 nominations, this year. Last night was an unbelievable night, filled with incredible performances and touching award presentations … I will never forget it!”
Jones previously won the Graffiti Radio Songwriters Contest. His debut EP, “No Spring Chicken,” has earned Top 3 status on several airplay charts. He has performed in New York City, Philadelphia, Nashville and others. For more information, visit http://www.jiggleyjones.com.
