Mike Boykin fought off an injury in the second period to battle back and win his semi final match

UPPER PROVIDENCE– Mike Boykin fought off an injury and recorded back to 3-1 wins over West Chester Rustin junior Matt Lamberjack and West Chester East senior Brendon Vaikell respectively to advance to the PIAA District One South championship.

In the final, he will  square off with Marple Newtown senior Ken Smith ofr the regional title, as the parade of champions starts at 5:30 with the battles for first through sixth place medals taking place on three mats . Boykin has already qualified for next week ends Pennsylvania State Southeastern regional to be held at Oxford High School.
