Coatesville Farmers Market will not hibernate for winter

Residents can get local food, artisan fare by preordering every other week

The venue will be different, but local residents can still obtain fresh, local food and artisan products from the Coatesville Farmers Market during the winter by preordering by designated Thursdays for Saturday pickup.

The venue will be different, but local residents can still obtain fresh, local food and artisan products from the Coatesville Farmers Market during the winter by preordering by designated Thursdays for Saturday pickup.

Despite the approach of winter, the Coatesville Farmers Market will extend the growing season by offering fresh produce and tasty treats such as Taste of Puebla’s guacamole and Sunset Park Gluten-Free Vegan Cookies.

Every other Saturday, starting this week, patrons can pick up orders that need to be placed by noon the preceding Thursday. Orders can be placed by phone or email to the vendors. Patrons who subscribe to the market’s email newsletter will receive a listing on Monday of the items available from a variety of vendors.

Orders will be ready for pick-up on the designated Saturdays – Nov. 9 and 23, Dec. 12 and 21, Jan. 4 and 18, Feb. 1 and 15, March 1, 15 and 29, April 5 and 19, and May 3 –  between 10:30 a.m. and noon at a new location: Vollmecke Orchards and CSA, 155 Cedar Knoll Rd., Coatesville. Vendors all accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, FMNP and SNAP/ACCESS as well as cash.
