West Whiteland Township Police are hoping someone can identify this alleged iPod Touch thief.

A customer took his eyes off his new $229 iPod Touch momentarily and a thief grabbed it, said West Whiteland Township Police Department, who are seeking the public’s help to identify the subject.

Police said the theft that occurred at the Target store at approximately 1:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29. The victim reported that he had just purchased the item and it was in his shopping cart when he stopped to look at another item in the electronics department. He discovered the item missing when he went to push the shopping cart out of the area, police said.

Surveillance video of the theft was obtained. A male was observed walking to the area with a woman and two children. The video shows him reaching into the cart and then placing the item into his pocket of his “Bryce Canyon National Park” hooded sweatshirt, police said. He was then observed exiting the store and placing something into a light-colored sports utility vehicle and returning to the store; he was observed leaving with the woman and two children a short time later, police said.
